Watermelon & Yogurt Stars
Cool, hydrating, and made for the Fourth — though your pup won't wait for the holiday.
Two ingredients, one star-shaped mold, and a pup who suddenly has very strong opinions about the Fourth of July. These are the treats we make when the porch gets above 90 degrees and the regular ice cubes aren't cutting it anymore.
Ingredients
- 1 cup seedless watermelon, pureed
- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt (unsweetened)
How to make them
- Blend the watermelon until smooth.
- In a bowl, mix the puree with the yogurt until well combined.
- Pour into silicone molds — stars are perfect for the holiday, but any shape works.
- Freeze for at least 4 hours, or until solid.
Keep them happy
Keep in the freezer in an airtight container. Serve on hot afternoons or right after playtime — watermelon is over 90% water, so these double as a hydration boost when your pup's been zooming around in the heat.
