As we enter the dog days of summer (and you know we mean that in the best possible way), I wanted to take a moment to thank you for being part of the growing Darling Dog community. Every month, it brings us so much joy to celebrate the pups that fill your homes, your hearts, and – let’s be honest – your couches, your cars, and occasionally your laundry baskets.

This August, we’re pulling back the curtain just a little more to show you what’s happening behind the scenes at Darling Dog. You’ve seen our pages filled with beautiful photos, touching tributes, thoughtful stories, and the occasional belly-laugh-worthy moment – but now we want to invite you into the creative process in real time.

We’re excited to grow our presence on Instagram and Facebook, and we would love for you to follow along. On these platforms, we’ll be sharing sneak peeks of upcoming features, staff picks, and even a few of the messy, goofy, love-filled moments that don’t always make it to print.

Whether it’s a snapshot from an impromptu photo shoot at the dog park or a quick video of one of our team members trying to interview a very excitable golden retriever, these are the glimpses that show how much heart (and dog hair) goes into every issue.

Even more exciting: we’re rolling out something completely new – our very own TikTok channel! That’s right, Darling Dog is going full tail-wag on short-form video. From heartwarming rescue stories and silly tricks to DIY dog treats and behind-the-scenes bloopers, our TikTok will be a fresh way to connect, laugh, and learn together as dog lovers.

We believe our community has some of the best and funniest dogs around, and we can’t wait to showcase them in a whole new light. If you and your pup have a special talent or a hilarious moment to share, keep your eyes open – you might just become part of our next feature!

Of course, our website is growing too. In the coming weeks and months, we’ll be unveiling updates that will make it easier to browse back issues, submit stories and photos, and even participate in some exclusive Darling Dog giveaways.

We know we’ve been promising an improved site experience, and we’re excited to let you know that the doggone good upgrades are finally on their way.
